Dancing, choreography and costumes outstanding

The Russian Grand Ballet presented Swan Lake in the Fox Theater in Riverside CA. The dancing was flawless. I am not an expert, but the artistry and technique were flawless to my eye. Even in the small details. For example, the legs and arms of the principal male and female leads formed beautiful, geometrically coordinated designs when they danced and posed together. I have attended dozens of ballets, and this was as good in every respect as the best I have ever seen. The only thing, live music would have been wonderful. But, the speakers in the Fox are excellent, although they image up, to the top of the stage, which is too bad. But, the costumes, dancing choreography and artistry were among the very best I have seen.

Enjoyed Swan Lake

I really enjoyed the ballet and thought the performance was excellent. What I didn't enjoy was how the Palace managed the event. Maybe they manage all their events this way, but it was no fun. Everyone stays crammed in the lobby and outside until about 15 minutes before curtain - bumping into each other perpetually and invading not just each others' space, but actual breathing room. Is there a reason they don't open doors to be seated earlier? Even 30 minutes prior to curtain would have made a big difference. Additionally, late comers were permitted into the area after the performance began. Right after the performance began. Why were they not kept at the back until it was appropriate, instead of when the princess is out there dancing alone? Something is backwards here.
